In 1946 the first of the Nash companies took shape as a residential subcontracting paint company. Recent work has included special projects such as renovating two historical sites; Hayfield Manor (Plantation) in Caroline County and Meadowview Park in Henrico County. At these projects W.W. Nash Construction, Inc. managed the lead abatement and asbestos removal of the historical homes while W.W. Nash & Sons, Inc. handled the interior and exterior painting. Another sizable project was the complete power-washing and painting of the Oak Hill Shopping Center located on Mechanicsville Turnpike in Richmond.
